Recent invitations and presentations of research outcomes have sent him to
the Spanish EU-Presidency Conference in Madrid for a keynote address on lifelong
learning. At the Upjohn Institute for Employment Studies in Kalamazoo he
presented recent work of regulations of employment protection comparing European
Countries. At Cornell University, Ithaca in the unit Policy Analysis and Management
he presented major results from the book on education training and employment
dynamics. He was teaching at two "Summer Schools" in Igalo (Montenegro) and in Bordeaux.
Previous invitations were to the Japan Institute of Labour in Tokyo to compare
employment protection systems and to the ENA in Paris commenting on the French
evaluation of labour market policies. A collaboration with the European training
foundation sent him to Almaty (Kazakhstan).
In Germany he presented work at the annual congress of the initiative for
employment on skill needs, the federal association of voluntary organizations in
the field of employment and training (Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Arbeit ).
Academic highlight recently were presentations on the Ringberg conference of the Max-Planck-Instituts for
human development and education with a review of 20 years of life course research, at
the Mannheim Center for European Social Research on transitional labour markets.
In Berlin he made presentations for groups of Swedish social partners and young
managers of the Club Pangloss from France. .
