He was Visiting Professor at the University of Paris I, Maison des Sciences Econommiques, Laboratoire d'Économie Sociale in
Spring 1998 lecturing in French on the comparison of Education and Employment
Systems in the EU as well as at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna in
Autumn 1998 in the Sociology Department on evaluation of labour market policies.
In August 2000 Klaus Schömann taught a one week intensive course on
education and labour market policies as well as on the comparative assessment of
employment systems at the Labour Market Policy Summer School in Igalo (Montenegro)
to assist South East Euroepean policy makers. (Group 17 in Yugoslavia,
cofinanced from the Soros Foundation) .
At the "Vienna Institute" of the OECD and the Worldbank he taught a course on evaluation of education and labour market policies in 1998. (Participants
mainly from Ministries from Eateuropean Countries).
At the Free University Berlin, political science department he conducted two
seminars on labour market policies in the EU and a 4 hours project based course
on evaluation of labour market policies with Günther Schmid.
In the unit education statistics at UNESCO in Paris he organized and
conducted two 14 days seminars for Members of National Ministries and
STatistical Officies: (1) education statistics and evaluation of
performance of education systems in Malaysia 1990 (in english) and in Camerun 1991 (in
french).
