Robert Nuscheler joined the WZB in
May 2001. He was primarily working on incentives, competition and
regulation in health care systems. His research included theoretical
as well as empirical work. From July 2006 until June 2008 he was on
research leave, spending the time as a postdoctoral fellow at the
McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario and as an assistance
professor at the University of Waterloo. In September 2008 he joined
the Economics Department at the University of Augsburg to assume a
position as professor of economics (with tenure).
Research interests: Health Economics, Public Economics,
Public Finance, Industrial Organization, and applied Microeconometrics
