Reimut-Jochimsen-Award
In memory of their former
president and in honour of the economist Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Reimut
Jochimsen, the State Central Bank of North Rhine-Westphalia called
for essays on the topic
„Infrastructure of
Information Society "
The announcement
addressed authors who want to take part in the
search for ways towards an economically efficient, socially fair and
ecologically sound development of information and
communication society. Essays should not
exceed 30 manuscript pages.
The prize was 5,000 Euro
On 23 January 2003 the
jury, consisting of Professors Walter Buhr, University of
Siegen, Udo E. Simonis, Science Center Berlin, and Peter Treuner,
University of Stuttgart, as well as the President of the State
Central Bank of Northrhine-Westphalia, Friedel Fleck, chose the
following recipients:
Dipl.-Geogr. Christian Langhagen-Rohrbach, Frankfurt a.M.,
for his essay

The award will be presented on 16
June 2003 at the State Central Bank in Duesseldorf. At the
ceremony the topic of the Reimut-Jochimsen-Award 2004 will be
announced.
