Reimut-Jochimsen-Award
In memory of their former
president and in honour of the economist Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Reimut
Jochimsen, the Office of the Deutsche Bundesbank in Düsseldorf called
for essays on the topic
„European Infrastructure Policy"
The announcement
addressed authors who wanted to take part in the
search for ways towards an economically efficient, socially fair and
ecologically sound development of European society. Essays should not
exceed 40 manuscript pages.
The prize was 5,000 Euro
On 4 November 2004 the
jury, consisting of Professors Walter Buhr, Siegen, Udo E. Simonis, Berlin, and Peter Treuner,
Stuttgart, as well as the President of the Central Office, Friedel Fleck, chose the
following recipient:
Dr. Henning Sichelschmidt,
Senior Researcher of the Kiel Institute for World Economy
for his essay
"Infrastructure Policies of the European Union
in the Context
of their Structural Fonds"
The award was presented on 25
November 2004 in Duesseldorf. At the
ceremony, the 3. Reimut-Jochimsen-Award 2006 was announced.
